School of Food Science is one of leading schools in our university, with a long history. Founded in 1958, our school first got the right to provide master and doctoral degree in China. Our discipline ranks the seventh place in China. Food science and Engineering programme is the third in China. Now we have one doctoral level subjects and one postdoctoral research center. We offer extraordinary research centers for students and scientific research. Our school has built up one dairy science lab which is one of the key labs at the Ministry of Education, one food science and engineering research center at national level and Institution of dairy engineering virtual simulation. The college has 94 faculty members, 59 full-time teachers, 21 doctoral supervisors and 39 master supervisors. Our school is focusing on undergraduate training, combining with markets demands and further scientific research. We are committed to develop talents with solid knowledge of food science and practical skills, compelling abilities in job market and innovative spirit. Now we have about 2300 students, over 500 graduates and over 1800 undergraduate students.
