2025 Sino-Russian Smart Agriculture of Cold Region Conference Kicks off

2025Sino-Russian Smart Agriculture of Cold Region conference kicked off in our university on 15thMay.


This year's theme, "Unlock Giant Potential in Agricultural Collaboration, Build up a Sino-Russian Agricultural Experiment and Demonstration Zone",highlights the event's focus onoffering a deep diving into connecting the national strategy of increasinggrain production through soil conservation and technologywith Plan of Modern Agricultural Revitalization in Heilongjiang Province, entirely boost Heilongjiang’s core role in food security.

Chen Qingshan, Vice President of our university, emphasized that this conference is one step of the consensus on cooperation in the agricultural field in two countries. Efforts should be focused on the agricultural technological innovation in cold region.

Fu Qiang, President of our university,“NEAU as one of"Double First-Class"universities in China, we have set up 4 state-class academic platform. Our university will grasp this opportunity to accelerate foundation ofSino-Russian lab and try to build up an excellent example of cross-boarder cooperation inagricultural technological innovation,”he said. He sees strong potential for collaboration in crop breeding and black soil protection and expects to co-found cross-border agricultural technology channel to achieve win-win results.

Four professors from Russian Academy of Sciences and our university shared cutting-edge research findings.

In the afternoon, four seminars ranging from the topics of animals and food,agriculture and resources protection, agriculture information management and engineering, and agricultural economy and management are developed at the same time. 41 of Chinese and Russian experts discussed how digital technology improves agriculture in cold region.


It also sought to promote agricultural cooperation and cultural exchange with countries and regions involved in theChina and Russia.
